the Cash for Clunkers is lined up for the chopping block. Now I am not personally taking advantage of this program. Do I think it should halt because I am not getting any money? No, I mean I do not receive welfare, food stamps, unemployment, medicaid, social security disability, tuition assistance, AHCCCS, or any other government assistance. Should all those programs cease just because EVERYONE is not involved in the benefit? That would be a resounding NO!
Frankly - if the people who need it, get it, then it keeps the economy going, keeps the population free from disease and therefore benefits all.
As for the Cash for Clunkers - there is a decrease in emissions, increase in fuel mileage and stimulated sales for the - wait for it - auto industry!!!! yeah! didn't they get some huge sum of money not too long ago? Why yes they did - Except FORD, and their sales are booming (in a matter of speaking).
